Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in commercial carpentry and general contracting. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids while supporting preconstruction efforts from initial review through project handoff. The ideal candidate will analyze drawings, develop cost estimates, and coordinate closely with project teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for carpentry, drywall, and related scopes
· Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents for completeness
· Develop cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
· Manage multiple bids, maintain bid logs, and meet strict deadlines
· Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids

Qualifications and Requirements:
· 3–7+ years of estimating experience in commercial carpentry or general contracting
· Strong knowledge of framing, drywall, taping, and finish carpentry
· Proficiency in estimating software (OST, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
