Job Description:
A growing manufacturing operation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grinder / Finisher to join its production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision, and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards before reaching customers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate hand-held grinders, swing grinders, and/or CNC grinding equipment
- Grind, polish, sand, and finish parts to remove welds, imperfections, and excess material
- Inspect finished components using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure accuracy
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Select and install proper grinding wheels and attachments; perform basic machine setup and adjustments
- Maintain production logs and documentation of completed work
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and machine guarding
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Support general labor tasks as needed to assist the production team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or machine shop environments
- Experience with hand tools and pneumatic/electric grinders
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- CNC grinding experience is a plus, but not required

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
