Job Description
As a QC Welding Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that both internal and external customers receive high-quality emergency vehicles. You will inspect completed welds and critical components, perform electrical and functional testing, and identify any defects requiring correction prior to shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of welding inspection processes, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect completed welds and critical vehicle components using visual and dye penetrant methods to ensure quality and compliance
- Perform electrical load, function, and final sign-off testing on emergency vehicles
- Conduct road testing and functional evaluations to verify performance and safety
- Identify, document, and report defects, design issues, and recommend improvements
- Verify build specifications, options, and orders for accuracy
- Complete inspection documentation, update production tracking, and generate reports
- Use measuring tools and gauges to ensure precision and adherence to standards
- Maintain compliance with safety, OSHA, EPA, and hazardous material handling procedures
- Communicate production status, support team operations, and assist in training new inspectors or filling in for lead roles as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- Level II Welding Inspection Certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in visual and dye penetrant weld inspection
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems and testing
- Ability to use measuring tools and read tape measures accurately
- Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and safe work practices
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
