Senior Property Accountant | Direct Hire – Onsite w/ Occasional Hybrid Flex | Omaha, NE | $70,000–$95,000
A growing real estate development and property management organization is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to support the financial operations of a portfolio of mid-sized, residential and commercial properties across Nebraska. This role offers strong visibility with leadership and the opportunity to take ownership of property financials while partnering closely with internal operations teams.

Key responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support month-end close and perform variance analysis
• Partner with property management teams on operational questions and financial insights
• Assist with annual budgets and property-level forecasting
• Support tenant billings, taxes, and insurance recs
• Finalize reporting for lease terms and financial activity on properties under management
• Review expense coding, allocations, and AR activity
• Assist with property audits, and compliance
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close processes
• Experience managing financials across multiple properties preferred
• Experience with expense coding and financial audits
• Tech savvy – experience with mulitple ERP systems – Yardi or Entrata preferred
• Motivated, self-starter professional who can contribute quickly with minimal training
