This is a high-impact, externally focused role for a professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships with the business community and expanding the pipeline of experienced leaders pursuing executive graduate education. The individual in this role will directly influence the visibility, reputation, and long-term growth of the EMBA program.
Job Description
The Director of Corporate Partnerships & Executive Recruitment serves as the primary external link between the College of Business and the corporate, public-sector, and nonprofit communities. This role is responsible for positioning the Executive MBA as a premier leadership development pathway through consultative engagement, relationship development, and strategic partnership building. This is not a traditional admissions role, but a business development–oriented position focused on executive recruitment and sustained corporate engagement.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with corporations, public-sector organizations, and nonprofits that employ executive- and senior-level talent
- Meet with business leaders, HR executives, and talent development professionals to understand workforce needs and align them with EMBA opportunities
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified executive-level prospective students
- Represent the EMBA program at business, civic, and professional events
- Support employer-sponsored enrollment pathways and multi-year corporate partnerships
- Facilitate connections between corporate partners and applied learning experiences within the EMBA program
- Maintain organized tracking of corporate relationships and prospective student engagement
- Provide market insights and employer feedback to program leadership
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Significant experience in business development, corporate partnerships, professional recruitment, or a related external-facing role
- Demonstrated success building relationships with senior leaders and organizational decision-makers
- Strong communication, presentation, and consultative engagement skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a highly relationship-driven portfolio
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Experience in higher education, executive education, professional services, or leadership development
- Familiarity with graduate business education or employer tuition sponsorship models
- Established professional network within the regional business community
