Job Description
This role is a pivotal member of the Executive Committee, responsible for leading the financial strategy, performance, and governance of a $1– $2B financial institution with ambitious growth goals. The CFO will play a key role in mergers and acquisitions, treasury management, derivatives and hedging, mortgage operations, and regulatory compliance. The position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a results-driven leader who can guide teams, optimize financial systems, and provide forward-looking insights to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the enterprise
- Lead ALM, ALCO, Audit Committee, 401K Committee, and function as Secretary of the Board of Directors
- Manage derivatives, hedging, and interest rate risk strategies
- Direct M&A activities, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration
- Partner with mortgage division on $4B+ loan portfolio and correspondent mortgage activities across 15 states
- Implement and optimize core banking and treasury management systems
- Ensure compliance with FDIC, state, and federal regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- CPA designation and prior CFO experience in a financial institution strongly preferred
- 10 years of experience; proven track record in M&A, strategic planning, and financial leadership
- Expertise in derivatives, hedging, treasury and banking operations
- Ability to manage both strategic vision and day-to-day operations
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence at the executive level

The base salary range for this position is $250,000–$300,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
