Job Description
The Yard Manager will oversee daily operations of a pipe storage facility, ensuring safe handling of materials, efficient inventory management, and effective use of staff and equipment. This role focuses on operational excellence, safety, quality, and profitability while coordinating with multiple departments to optimize workflow. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with experience in logistics, industrial operations, or PVF/distribution center management, and a solid understanding of OSHA and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the pipe storage facility.
- Oversee yard activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Supervise, direct, and support yard staff and equipment operators.
- Manage inventory: organize stock, handle incoming shipments, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules, OSHA regulations, and company protocols.
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Review operational procedures and performance metrics to identify improvements.
- Implement and continuously improve organizational management practices and protocols.
- Maintain operational excellence, quality, and profitability of the distribution center.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or yard operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines, quality standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Positive, results-driven attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in PVF management or distribution center operations preferred.

Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
