Job Summary:
Workforce Case Manager works with current and former foster youth (between the ages of 16 and 25 with an emphasis on ages 21 through 25) in a 13-county area to provide comprehensive workforce, job readiness, and case management services that support the healthy development of youth’s transition to adulthood with the final goal of obtaining employment.
Responsibilities:
- Provides intensive case management to address former foster youths’ transitional needs by engaging in program intakes, case planning, self-sufficiency assessments, wraparound meetings, and face-to-face contact with clients on a consistent basis with an emphasis on sustainable employment.
- Develop individualized plans to assist each youth with their employment goals. These plans often include standardized vocational assessments, soft skills training, interview techniques, mock interviews, job searches, application and resume development, and job retention skills.
- Submits internal and external referrals to assist youth in acquiring additional transitional services (housing, mental health, physical health, education, transition coaching (mentorship) etc.).
- Ensures youth are being referred to employment opportunities and local workforce agencies including, but not limited to, Workforce Solution Offices.
- Works closely with workforce team to assist with the coordination of the annual Summer Jobs Program.
- Completes monthly reports, enters all case note documentation in agency database within the required time frame and maintains adequate case and financial records.
- Submits requests for payment for youth who qualify for financial assistance through the TWC contract to include housing assistance, rental assistance, utility payments, and other approved expenses.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in Business, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or other Behavioral or Social Science.
- Two years of full-time paid experience in workforce development.
- Available to work on the following Saturdays:
- 4/25/26
- 6/6/26
- 6/13/26
Other requirements:
- A valid Texas driver’s license, dependable vehicle with liability insurance (this job requires fieldwork).
- Sufficient knowledge or experience in working with youth that may be aggressive and youth in crisis.
- Knowledge and understanding of adolescent/transition age youth stages of development.
- Ability to develop rapport with youth.
- Training and experience using a computer with a variety of software including Microsoft Office.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base hourly pay rate for this position is $23.89 per hr, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
