Job Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating a forklift, handling shipping and receiving activities, and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse. You will also contribute to inventory management, complete necessary paperwork for warehouse operations, and ensure proper maintenance of the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming cargo by safely unloading from trucks or containers using appropriate equipment such as hand tools, hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Verify and accurately record the count and condition of received cargo. Document and securely store items in designated locations.
- Prepare equipment for outgoing orders, ensuring precise labeling for correct destination.
- Segregate outgoing cargo based on purchase order, customer, or freight carrier requirements.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts to maintain real-time and accurate inventory levels.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 2 years of stand-up and sit-down forklift experience.
- At least 2 years of warehouse and industrial manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in driving and/or operating heavy equipment.
- Competence in reading, comprehending, and completing basic checklists, forms, and related documents.
