Job Description
The Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting livestock while maintaining the highest standards of animal health, welfare, and driver safety. This role involves loading and unloading animals, completing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal driving regulations. The driver will also assist with cattle handling, facility upkeep, and basic equipment maintenance. Success in this role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport, and unload livestock while ensuring animal health and welfare standards are met
- Follow all state and federal DOT driving regulations and company safety policies
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork related to livestock transport and inventory
- Assist with sorting, moving, and monitoring cattle health as directed
- Maintain clean and organized facilities, equipment, and vehicles
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid physical certificate
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs. as required during loading and handling tasks
- Ability to follow livestock handling procedures and safety protocols
- Must wear required PPE including safety glasses and gloves during operations
