Job Description
This executive leadership role oversees commodity brokerage operations across cattle, hog, and grain markets while driving strategic growth and customer engagement. The position is responsible for managing hedge programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering market insights to producers and stakeholders. This leader will guide a team of brokers, interact regularly with the Board of Directors, and represent the organization in customer and industry settings. The ideal candidate brings strong agricultural market expertise, a customer-first mindset, and proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee commodity brokerage activities and ensure compliance with NFA, CFTC, and exchange regulations
• Lead and develop a team of 5 commodity brokers and 1 administrative staff member
• Build and maintain strong producer relationships through consultation, presentations, and ongoing communication
• Provide market insights and risk management strategies across cattle, hog, and grain markets
• Serve as compliance leader for brokerage operations and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements
• Present updates and performance reports to executive leadership and Board of Directors

• Series 3 license – highly preferred (Commodity Futures)
• Strong experience in cattle markets; broader livestock and grain exposure preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a brokerage or agricultural setting
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to customers and Board-level stakeholders
• Background in agriculture, business, economics, or related field preferred
• Strong organizational, financial, and computer skills

The base salary range for this position is $175,000–$225,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
