A Year Contract Accounting Role With a Growing Financial Services Firm
If you’re a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning month-end, wearing multiple hats, and contributing in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, this opportunity offers both stability and variety. Join a growing financial services organization where accuracy, ethics, and teamwork drive everything they do. This is a full-time, on-site contract role (Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week) with a one-year duration, starting in January or February. While primarily on-site, the team offers allocated work-from-home days throughout the year.
You’ll play a key role in daily and work alongside the Accounting Manager to complete daily accounting operations, take ownership of month-end close processes, and support broader finance initiatives—making a meaningful impact from day one. No two days will look the same in this dynamic, high-trust environment.

What You’ll Get to Do
- Lead and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
- Support preparation of monthly financial and commission reports, along with ad hoc management analysis
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, adapting quickly as priorities shift
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes
- Support audits, documentation requests, and special projects as needed
What Makes You a Great Fit
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting and/or Finance preferred)
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Solid communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work in an open-desk office setting
- Flexible mindset and eagerness to take on new responsibilities
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
