Job Description
The Staff Accountant will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. The Staff Accountant will support monthly close activities, financial reporting, and account analysis while maintaining compliance with GAAP and tax regulations. This position works closely with accounting and finance leadership to support accurate financial reporting and business operations.
Responsibilities
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial databases
• Manage journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting systems
• Maintain records for fixed assets and various general ledger accounts
• Support monthly closing processes including account analysis and interfund transfers
• Maintain prepaid and accrued expense accounts
• Reconcile bank statements for multiple accounts and credit card statements
• Assist with reconciliation of financial balance sheet accounts
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including processing invoices and tracking payments
• Monitor incoming funds and maintain accurate cash flow records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
• Prepare documentation and support internal and external financial audits
• Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Associate degree accepted
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently while collaborating with a team
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is approximately $64,000 annually based on a $31/hr equivalent, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full
base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
