Job Description
The Spray Associate / Machine Operator plays a critical role in preparing golf balls for refinishing by operating blasting equipment to clean and surface prep golf balls. This role ensures golf balls meet quality specifications before painting and printing. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with team members to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate blasting equipment using pressure blasting hoses and industrial air compressors
- Inspect, start, and maintain blasting equipment and related safety gear
- Sample inspect golf balls before and after blasting to ensure quality standards
- Review and manage inventory levels against workload
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any equipment or product concerns promptly
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with pressure blasting required; painting experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Basic math skills and ability to use measuring devices and interpret tolerances
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to learn and apply quality workmanship standards
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
