Job Description:
Join a well-established, values-driven organization as a Software Development Manager, where you will play a key role in building and leading high-performing engineering teams. This is a people-first leadership role focused on developing talent, improving delivery practices, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. You will partner closely with product owners and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions while ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality software across both cloud and on-prem environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Drive team development through coaching, training, and career growth initiatives.
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce development standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance while supporting sound engineering decisions.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality software through strong testing, documentation, and deployment practices.
- Promote secure, scalable, and reliable system design across all development efforts.
- Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for technical challenges and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams.
- Strong background in software development, including experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement and iterative delivery.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to balance technical leadership with people development and team effectiveness.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 – $160,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
