Job Description
We are seeking a Software Developer II to design, develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality applications that support evolving business and customer needs. This role will contribute to full-stack development efforts across both cloud and on-premises environments, including customizing in-house and vendor-supported software platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, contribute to Agile delivery, support Azure cloud initiatives, and help establish best practices while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to deliver high-priority work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software features for internal and external users.
- Build, support, and maintain applications using C# and .NET in both cloud and on-prem environments.
- Contribute to Azure-based development efforts, including cloud migration initiatives.
- Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external products.
- Customize vendor-provided or packaged software solutions to meet business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Product Owner, Business Analyst, QA, UX) to deliver solutions on time and to specification.
- Work with Azure support teams (“Cloud Commanders”) to troubleshoot issues and promote knowledge sharing.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and defect resolution to ensure quality and stability.
- Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD processes and deployment workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for ongoing development and support.
- Contribute to improving development standards and assist in mentoring or training team members as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3–7+ years of software development experience (or equivalent demonstrated capability).
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and modern software development practices.
- Experience working in Agile teams with strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Experience developing and supporting APIs.
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Exposure to Azure cloud development and/or cloud migration initiatives.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple high-priority tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Exposure to insurance or financial services systems is a plus.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $47 – $62 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
