Job Description
You will be responsible for cutting large saws, caulking, and hand-grinding parts. Caulk and bondo fabricated products such as metal railings, fence,s and steel stairs.
Responsibilities:
- Washes steel tubing to remove grease.
- Caulks and Bondo’s fabricated products, such as metal railings, fences, and steel stairs.
- Grinds and polishes metal products with electrical hand grinders.
- Cuts metal material to size using various cutting machines – must be able to read a tape measure to 16ths of an inch.
- Keeps shop clean, including sweeping, emptying trash, etc.
- Occasionally drives company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials and supplies.
- Job includes heavy lifting. Overhead cranes are used. Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Occasionally work outside as an installer’s helper.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Good math skills are required, especially with fractions and decimals
- Mechanical ability and experience with hand and electrical tools needed
- Good attendance is essential
- A valid Wisconsin driver’s license with an excellent driving record is required
- Loads and unloads trucks and stores incoming steel material in racks with the use of an overhead crane.
- Forklift experience is helpful
- Ability to stand, lift, and work at varying temperatures
- A positive attitude and regular, punctual attendance are required

The base salary range for this position is $19, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
