Job Description:
Responsible for supervising shipment of outgoing products as well as shipping personnel; reviewing shipping processes to ensure effectiveness; and suggesting improvements to procedures that will improve timeliness or reduce cost. Additional responsibilities include assisting with picking, packing and shipping processes; ensuring backorders are coordinated with the Packaging manager; and that orders are shipped in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Assign personnel to pick orders, pack orders and/or prepare orders for shipment.
Coordinate fulfillment of backorders with manager of Packaging.
- Ensure department operates within ISO 9000:2008 requirements.
- Ensure direct reports are trained and performing proficiently. Document during annual performance review.
- Interface with Sales regarding order status, backorders, etc.
Qualifications and Requirements:
5 – 7 years shipping experience; 3 – 5 years management experience
- Microsoft Office; data entry skills.
- Sit-down Forklift license; knowledge of DOT, OSHA & Hazardous Material requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills
- Work well under pressure

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
