Job Description:

This organization is looking for a visionary Senior Software Developer to lead the technical direction and oversee the design, development, and maintenance of their critical cloud-based applications. This role requires extensive experience with modern full-stack development, including .NET (C#), Java, and SQL, alongside proficiency in OOP, design patterns, and clean code principles. You will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions, collaborating across teams, and mentoring junior developers. Responsibilities:      
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, and maintenance) for solutions built on a modern cloud platform, emphasizing quality, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project stakeholders, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure alignment with high-level business requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using a modern tech stack including Angular, .NET (C#, .NET Core), HTML5, JavaScript, and other relevant languages/frameworks like Java/Gosu and React.
- Oversee end-to-end implementation and customization of core P&C insurance systems (Policy, Claims, and Billing), including configuration, business rule development, and workflow design.
- Manage system integrations with internal/external systems using various methods (REST APIs, SOAP, message queues, and batch jobs).
- Contribute to and define software development standards, design patterns, best practices, and technical documentation; perform code reviews and performance tuning.
- Build, maintain, and administer SQL Databases and related software while managing version control systems like Git and SVN.
- Act as a key technical resource and mentor for developers, providing training and guidance on design, coding, problem-solving, and ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
  Qualifications and Requirements:      
- Education and Core Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and senior-level work experience utilizing .NET (C#, .NET Core) and/or Java, along with strong proficiency in SQL Server.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, clean code principles, and best practices.
- Preferred Domain Expertise: Prior experience with the Guidewire platform (using Gosu) and possession of a Guidewire Cloud Developer Certification are highly desirable.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Work Style: Proven ability to work effectively both independently (demonstrating initiative and ownership) and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $140,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
