Job Description
The Sr. Layout Inspector supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and administering the Quality Management System (QMS) within a regulated machining environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our precision parts, utilizing advanced inspection techniques and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex layout inspections and first article inspections on precision parts to ensure compliance with specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements.
- Use various inspection tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, sine plates and height gauges to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address nonconformance issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure product quality standards.
- Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of inspection processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in the Quality field
- Minimum of 3 years performing advanced layout and first article inspections
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Experience working with controlled documents and quality systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate or Bachelors in a technical field preferred

The base salary range for this position is $33.65-43.25 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
