This role is an on-site role based in Omaha. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership, take ownership of budgeting and reporting, and ensure financial accuracy and compliance across federally funded programs. The scope is broad, the work is dynamic, and no two days look the same.

What You’ll Get to Do
- Own end-to-end regulatory reporting for federally and state-funded programs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Lead the annual financial planning process, actively monitoring performance against budget and recommending adjustments as needed
- Analyze and reconcile financial data across enterprise systems and governance-level reports to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Evaluate accounting workflows and documentation to confirm adherence to financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Direct inventory valuation, tracking, and reimbursement activity, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines
- Manage billing processes for internal and external stakeholders, overseeing cash application and resolution of discrepancies
- Serve as a key finance liaison during external audits, coordinating documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Oversee daily cash and banking operations, including reconciliations and fund management
- Produce clear, decision-ready financial and operational reports, including custom analyses for leadership
- Collaborate with Finance leadership on general ledger oversight, AP/AR activity, and budget execution
- Provide operational finance support to nutrition service teams as business needs arise
What Makes You a Great Fit
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial operations, and reimbursement accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs required)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Preferred
- Governmental or fund accounting experience
- Prior experience supporting audits or federally funded projects
