Job Description
A well-established residential homebuilding organization is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support pricing and cost management for single-family home projects. This hybrid role (office/remote) is open to candidates in Houston or Austin, TX. The position is responsible for accurately pricing customer options for home plans based on requests from the Sales team. The role works closely with Sales, Management, Construction, and external partners (contractors, suppliers, vendors) to ensure pricing is accurate and completed on time. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cost database and ensuring all option offerings remain current and aligned with established processes and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate pricing for customer-requested home options.
- Coordinate with Sales, Construction, and external partners to confirm cost details.
- Maintain and update the cost database and option lists.
- Ensure all pricing follows established processes and standards.
- Support timely and accurate communication of pricing information.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience reading blueprints and performing quantity takeoffs.
- Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates for custom home options.
- Familiarity with reviewing plans, contractor/vendor bids, and material/labor costs.
- Experience maintaining cost databases and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- 3–5 years in homebuilding or a related field preferred; high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $65,000–$70,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
