Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating manufactured products to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. This role supports continuous improvement by identifying defects, documenting findings, and working closely with production teams to maintain high-quality output.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Respirator Fit Test and safety training
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to quality standards and inspection plans
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and visual inspection aids
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or products
- Record inspection results accurately in quality logs or systems
- Work with production and engineering teams to investigate quality issues and root causes
- Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and external standards (e.g., ISO, customer specs)
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections as required
- Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and ensure proper handling of inspected parts
- Support audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior QC experience in manufacturing 1-3 years
- Ability to follow written procedures and standard work
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable lifting to 50 lbs. and working in a physically active role
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic computer and math skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Document non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Stop processes within scope when safety or quality is compromised
- Strong eye-hand coordination
- Exercise authority as defined in written procedures upon completion of qualification training
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently for extended periods

The base salary range for this position is $21-24/hr., excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
