Job Description
As a QA Technician II, you will support safety operations and quality control initiatives. This role involves working closely with management to ensure the compliant execution of project plans and specifications. Responsibilities include conducting monthly internal audits (including photo documentation), tracking daily inventory for janitorial and safety supplies, and maintaining accurate records in Excel-based QA/QC reports. Additionally, the position requires regular inspection and calibration of equipment in accordance with the internal calibration matrix.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety & Compliance – Actively participate in safety processes, identify areas for improvement, and enforce quality and safety policies.
- Quality Inspections & Documentation – Inspect packaging lines, verify production quality checks, and document findings for each shop order.
- Inventory & Material Management – Track and purchase safety and janitorial supplies while maintaining accurate records in EAM.
- Audits & Corrective Actions – Conduct monthly audits, monitor deviations, and assist in corrective action and decision-making.
- Equipment Calibration & Environmental Testing – Perform daily/weekly equipment calibrations, record results, and conduct environmental sampling with third-party labs.
- Support & Leadership – Provide guidance to QA technicians, oversee operational deficiencies, and assist production and quality teams as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in the food industry or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Certifications & Knowledge – HACCP certification, PCQI qualification, and solid understanding of SQF and GMPs.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong critical thinking, CAPA process knowledge, and attention to detail.
- Communication & Leadership – Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to collaborate across teams and promote process improvements.
- Technical & Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft AX.
- Independence & Organization – Strong reliability, ability to work with minimal supervision, and effectively plan and prioritize tasks.

The base pay range for this position is $23.68/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
