Job Description
The QA Automation Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of complex web services, mobile applications, and enterprise software by building and maintaining automated testing solutions. This role involves developing test cases and automation scripts, validating application performance and functionality, and identifying issues across distributed systems. The engineer will support a modern CI/CD workflow, contribute to quality standards, collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and manual testers, and ensure that testing processes are integrated smoothly into GitHub Actions, GitLab, JIRA, and other tooling used by the team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools such as Vite, Jest, and IDE-based automation frameworks
- Validate software behavior, performance, and reliability across Angular, React, and Node.js component
- Review application functionality, user flows, and system interactions to identify defects, inconsistencies, and edge cases
- Build and manage test datasets, test cases, and reusable test components
- Monitor and enhance automated test suites triggered through CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Document defects and questionable behaviors and track their resolution through JIRA.
- Establish testing benchmarks and help shape standards for quality across applications and services
- Analyze system logs and reports to uncover processing issues and areas for optimization
- Coordinate testing activities with developers, DevOps engineers, manual testers, and external partners when required
- Conduct compatibility and integration tests involving multiple operating systems, hardware environments, and network configurations
- Support users and internal teams by answering questions and assisting with root-cause identification after software releases
- Provide ongoing monitoring of application performance after deployment to prevent recurring issues
- Produce and maintain detailed test plans, reports, and documentation of testing processes and findings
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years) in software QA or automation
- Ability to read and understand code within Angular, React, and Node.js applications to create or update test cases
- Experience building and running automated tests using tools such as Vite, Jest, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and IDE-based frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for identifying issues in distributed, client-server, or multi-component systems
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and VMware environments
- Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, XML, JSON, and API interactions
- Ability to create clear documentation, test cases, and reports
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and QA teams
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently when needed
- Ability to hear and interpret audio and visual instructions from colleagues and equipment
- Experience contributing to QA standards, processes, or automation improvements
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar tracking tools for test management and defect tracking
- Exposure to testing distributed or multi-service environments
- Experience coordinating or supporting user acceptance testing or third-party testing efforts

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
