Job Description
A leading packaging company in Bardstown, Kentucky, is hiring for a 3rd shift Prepress Cylinder Technician role. This role includes providing support to the printing production in the facility, including routine operator maintenance on polishing machine, cylinder manipulator, and cylinder repair machine.
Responsibilities:
- Drive fork truck/reach truck and operate pallet jack for moving and staging items
- Read and understand pick sheet for picking cylinders for printing
- Operate wash and polishing machines
- Wrap and label new cylinders with corrugated wrap
- Monitor and maintain labels on cylinders
- Organize parts for printing press
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years previous experience in a manufacturing role is required
- Prior experience with forklift and pallet jacks is required
- Prior experience with machine operations is required
- Computer skills with basic data entry is preferred
- Able to stand for long periods at a time
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening, including drug test and background checks
