Job Description:
Join an innovative technology team building a cloud-native, API-driven insurance platform that enables small businesses to purchase coverage directly online, backed by continued investment in scalable architecture, modern UI frameworks, and enterprise-grade engineering practices to support rapid digital growth. As a Principal Software Developer, you will act as a senior technical expert across multiple product domains, designing and implementing Angular and .NET solutions within a full-stack Agile environment while aligning front-end UI architecture with RESTful APIs and complex backend business logic, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, mentoring peers, and influencing platform-level technical decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a senior technical leader within a cross-functional Agile team of developers, QA engineers, and business analysts.
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for a core platform domain, influencing architectural and cross-team design decisions.
- Design and implement scalable Angular (v12+) and .NET solutions aligned with enterprise APIs, integrations, and long-term platform strategy.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, technical documentation, and coaching while promoting best practices in testing, performance, and security.
- Deliver high-quality code aligned to sprint goals, ensure system performance standards are met, and proactively drive problem resolution and innovation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 10+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in C#, .NET, and Angular (5+ years Angular v12+).
- Advanced knowledge of Angular architecture including NgRx, RxJS, state management, advanced routing, performance tuning, and shared component libraries
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable Angular component libraries, including versioning, packaging (ng-packagr/npm), and documentation tools (Storybook, Compodoc).
- Enterprise architecture experience delivering RESTful APIs, integrations, and complex business processes in cloud environments (Azure preferred), including both monolithic and microservices architectures.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, with strong collaboration skills across large-scale Agile initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 – $155,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
