Job Description
As a Gate Grind, this role involves removing excess metal from cast parts by cutting off gates and risers, then grinding rough areas to ensure a smooth finish. Ideal candidates are physically strong, and comfortable standing all day.
Responsibilities:
- Remove excess metal from cast parts using cutting tools and grinders.
- Grind down rough areas to meet quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

The base salary for this position is $20/hr. after training on first shift for $18/hr. or more based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
