Job Description
The Perforation Line Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining perforation machinery, including shear and surface grinding equipment. This role focuses on producing high-quality perforated metal sheets while ensuring efficiency and precision throughout the process. The operator will handle material movement, machine setup, and basic maintenance to support production goals. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment requiring attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate perforation machinery to produce perforated metal sheets
- Load and unload steel coils using an overhead crane and prepare materials for production
- Operate shear equipment to cut materials according to blueprint specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools, dies, and machinery
- Use surface grinder to sharpen punches and maintain tooling quality
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication and machine operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification
- Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and in a team environment

The base salary range for this position is $18-22 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
