Job Description
A growing professional services organization in Omaha is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to assist their payroll team during the implementation of a new payroll system while transitioning from ADP Workforce Now. This role will provide hands-on payroll support and help maintain daily payroll operations while the internal payroll team focuses on system testing and implementation activities.
This is an “all hands on deck” opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who can jump in quickly, assist with payroll processing tasks, and support payroll system validation during the transition. The position may begin as a contract engagement with potential to convert to a permanent role depending on team needs and candidate fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter new hires, status changes, and wage adjustments into payroll systems
- Process and review employee timesheets for accuracy
- Perform payroll data entry and assist with payroll processing tasks
- Support parallel payroll testing during a new payroll system implementation
- Audit payroll calculations and tax accuracy
What You Bring
- Experience with hands-on payroll processing
- Strong attention to detail and auditing skills
- Understanding of payroll taxes and payroll calculations preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or Dayforce is helpful but not required

The hourly wage range for this position is $28 – 35 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
