Job Description
A Payroll Accountant ensures employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with complex tax, wage, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, including timely filing and remittance of payroll taxes
- Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and support month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and benefits changes
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and coordinate with HR, finance, and external auditors as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of payroll accounting experience
- Strong with accounting software

Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
