This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects in a supportive and dynamic work environment. We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Service Desk Engineer to provide advanced technical support for endpoint systems and Microsoft 365 services in a hybrid IT environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting tools like Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams (Voice and Chat), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Daily responsibilities will include managing and deploying devices using Intune, Autopilot, and Entra ID (Azure AD), while ensuring security and compliance across the environment. Experience with PowerShell or Power Automate is required to assist with automation and process improvements. You’ll support both Windows and macOS environments, using JAMF for Apple device management, and handle basic networking issues as needed. This hybrid position also requires learning key Service Desk functions—including HL7, PACS systems—and contributing to automation and special projects involving Logic Apps, Intune, and more. Familiarity with tools such as Jira (critical), JumpCloud, NinjaOne, and Microsoft Intune is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across both end-user support and backend systems, managing licenses, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality service to both internal and external teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support for O365 Admin Center, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive administration
- Administer and troubleshoot endpoint security tools, particularly Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and ensure compliance with security policies
- Manage and support Entra/Azure AD, including handling user accounts and ensuring proper role- based access
- Oversee the configuration and deployment of devices via Intune and Autopilot, ensuring seamless setup for end users
- Provide ongoing support for Microsoft Teams, including managing both chat and voice services
- Maintain licensing and compliance for Microsoft environments, ensuring proper usage and renewals across the organization
- Utilize PowerShell for automation, scripting, and managing tasks across the enterprise environment
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows desktop operating systems and provide basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity and security issues
- Provide comprehensive support for macOS environments, leveraging JAMF for management and provisioning
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues from the Service Desk team
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and automation
- Ensure all systems and processes comply with regulatory and licensing requirements, contributing to security audits as necessary
- Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support when required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience and training in a related field
- Minimum of five years’ experience providing support within Service Desk or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments
- Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable, such as Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, Security & Compliance Fundamentals, CompTIA Network+, JAMF Certified Associate, or ITIL Foundation
- Proven ability to apply formal training and hands-on experience to troubleshoot, support, and maintain end-user systems effectively
- Skilled in using dictation and transcription applications commonly utilized in clinical settings
- Basic understanding of network data flow related to the transfer of medical images between different systems
- Must have extensive background in managing Office 365 and Microsoft 365 platforms, covering Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams with voice and chat capabilities
- Must be proficient in using endpoint management and security tools including Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Defender for Endpoint
- Must have experience working with AWS tools
- Strong expertise in identity and access management with Azure Active Directory (Entra), handling groups, permissions, and user accounts
- Advanced capabilities in scripting and automating workflows using PowerShell
- Experienced in supporting both Windows and macOS desktops, with device management through JAMF for Apple environments
- Knowledgeable in software license administration and compliance within Microsoft cloud services
- Basic troubleshooting skills for network connectivity and related issues
- Familiar with endpoint protection and vulnerability scanning tools
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced settings and adept at resolving complex technical challenges efficiently
