Job Description
As a Medical Claim Associate, you will review, investigate, and analyze medical claims information, process medical claims, answer calls to discuss claim status with benefit holders while conducting duties to meet quality and daily performance requirements. Make outbound calls to members & providers, analyze and respond to requests for information,
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, review, and process medical claims in accordance of the plan
- Perform customer service over the phone with a high service level
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with providers
- Respond with timely communication and documented follow-up
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED. An associate’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of medical claims processing
- Experience working in a medical billing office or with healthcare insurance plans.
- Customer Service, professional phone skills
- Ability to meet performance metrics
- Ability to utilize technology and navigate computer applications and systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Able to work overtime on Saturday mornings when needed, 6:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m
- Background check required

The base pay range for this position is $45,000 + DOE , excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
