Job Description
As an MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy) Technician, you will support production goals by characterizing InP-based epitaxial growths to ensure products meet strict quality standards and delivery targets. This role requires precision handling of delicate wafers and the use of specialized semiconductor inspection equipment. You will work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment supporting fiber optic networking technologies used in broadband, fiber-to-the-home, and data centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform characterization and inspection of InP-based epitaxial growths
- Handle fragile InP wafers using tweezers or vacuum wands
- Conduct device inspections using optical microscopes, XRD tools, and other semiconductor equipment
- Document inspection results and support quality and production targets
- Follow safety, cleanroom, and quality control procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year experience in semiconductor, electronics, or medical manufacturing (3 years preferred)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Windows OS
- Ability to work with delicate equipment and materials
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen

The base pay range for this position is approximately $31,200–$33,280 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, location, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
