Job Description
As a Materials Lab Technician, you will support critical chemical and materials testing for quality control in our casting process. This hands-on role is part of the Process Engineering team and involves working with lab equipment, chemical solutions, and technical procedures in a stable, structured environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing (e.g., viscosity, pH, specific gravity)
- Prepare and maintain slurry tanks and chemical baths
- Monitor and document shell process data
- Calibrate lab and plant instruments regularly
- Maintain lab cleanliness and proper organization
- Record test results and report out-of-spec conditions
- Support audits and materials evaluations as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Must be able to safely handle lab equipment and chemicals
- Prior lab, manufacturing, or chemical handling experience is helpful—but not required
- Training provided for motivated, safety-conscious individuals
- Must be able to pass pre-employment tests
