Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will support both the Parts Cage and Parts Prep areas by stocking materials, preparing components, and ensuring accurate counts for production. This role involves using counting equipment, prepping machines, and working closely with production teams to keep materials flowing efficiently in a climate-controlled environment.
As a Material Handler, you will support both the Parts Cage and Parts Prep areas by stocking materials, preparing components, and ensuring accurate counts for production. This role involves using counting equipment, prepping machines, and working closely with production teams to keep materials flowing efficiently in a climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Stock all incoming materials in proper locations and assist team members with needed parts or supplies
- Perform scheduled cycle counts, inventories, and reconcile materials
- Pre-kit and prep parts for scheduled assemblies based on SAP prep instructions
- Count reels using x-ray machines, reel counters, or counting scales
- Tape, reel, bake, and prep components using various machines according to customer specifications
- Perform general material handling duties and other tasks assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of material handling experience preferred (company will train the right candidate)
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, stretch, and lift materials during shift
- Basic familiarity with counting equipment and component prepping machinery
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
- Cooperative, dependable, and able to work effectively with a team
