Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join a respected property management team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on residential and commercial buildings. Duties include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, groundskeeping, and overall upkeep of the facilities. Ideal candidates are bilingual (Spanish/English), professional in appearance, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machines
- Maintaining equipment/machines and keep aware when equipment/machines needs attention
- Responsible for daily checks on equipment that is consistently in operation
- Responding to machine failures by diagnosing the issue
- Perform diagnostic tests and check performance to catch potential issues
- Maintenance on machines as necessary
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience
- Ability to work the designated schedule inclusive of overtime
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to read blueprints
- Understand how machinery works, including mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
