Job Description
An established industrial operation is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of mobile and material-handling equipment. You will work on skid steers, excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts, sweeping equipment, and material handlers while ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional who can troubleshoot equipment, read technical manuals, and maintain accurate service documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair mobile equipment, including skid steers, excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts, sweepers, and material handlers.
- Troubleshoot equipment using appropriate test equipment, technical manuals, and repair information.
- Obtain necessary parts and technical information while maintaining an accurate parts inventory.
- Complete work orders, timecards, and supporting service documentation accurately and on time using a tablet.
- Maintain safe, organized work practices and communicate professionally with production employees, management, and other team members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency with computers and tablets is required.
- 2 years of mechanical experience preferred.
- 1 year of Mobile Equipment Mechanic experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and use appropriate testing equipment for troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

The base pay range for this position is $25.00–$30.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
