Machine Repair Mechanic
Pay Rate: $25-29 hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Location: New Berlin, WI
Hours: 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 6am to 3:30 pm and Fridays 6am-10am
As a Maintenance Repair Mechanic you will repair coil and sheet processing machinery to include perforating presses, coil winding equipment and lift tables, shears, and sheet slitting equipment, etc. Disassemble and inspect parts to determine the correct course of action to repair equipment. Perform complete machine PMs to the guidelines of the PM form.
Responsibilities:
- Performed maintenance and repair on production machinery ranging from basic equipment to highly complex systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Diagnosed and resolved mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues, improving operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Operated a variety of machine tools to fabricate and modify replacement parts, reducing repair turnaround time.
- Collaborated with shift supervisors, team leads, and production operators to provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assisted with equipment setup and optimization, including presses, coil winders, shears, and slitters, ensuring accurate and efficient production runs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Certified Electrician
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and support production equipment
