Job Summary
The Learning Content Designer participates in the planning, design, development, and delivery of high quality, technology-enabled discovery and learning experiences. The Content Designer will work
closely with educational leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) in delivering all modalities including technology enhanced face-to-face courses, web-based, virtual and/or blended courses and programs in accordance with instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and current research. The employee have responsibility for instructional design, project management, and collaboration with SMEs to develop instructional materials to support transformation in curriculum design, innovative use of technology, and enhanced learning outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with needs analysis and identification of performance-based objectives for training interventions, or potential training gaps/issues; works with L&D colleagues to formulate innovative learning solutions (including but not limited to web-based training, instructor-led training, live virtual sessions, micro-learning, podcasts, etc.).
- Collaborate with stakeholders on key issues, including course management, assessment methods, delivery strategies, andragogy, accessibility, and inclusion.
- Supports teaching and learning goals by assisting in the design and development of learning experiences/curricula by formulating or reviewing training outlines, determining appropriate training methodologies and formats (ILT, eLearning, Virtual, Blended, etc.); produces education plan documents; constructs storyboards; etc. to meet overall identified training objectives as cost effectively as possible.
- Develops and implements new courses in various formats; redesigns/updates existing courses; and/or converts instructor-led training into engaging and interactive eLearning experiences that provide practical application and enhance retention.
- Create teaching and visual aids, instructional materials, and reference materials (i.e. instructor/participant guides, infographics, QRGs, handouts, etc.) appropriate to support courses and specific program objectives. Assists in the evaluation of appropriateness, effectiveness, and success of learning programs using Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation, both formative and summative; and provides insight on necessary revisions or recommend changes in instruction or delivery methods.
- Serves as mentor for developers, providing coaching, feedback, and training regarding best practices in the field, attainment of multimedia developer work plan milestones, and/or development of instructional design skills to aid in growth pathway.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One year of experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora.
- One (1) Year Work Experience Curriculum mapping, eLearning development
- MS Excel – Advanced
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology; Education or Business Administration
- Two years of experience in media design, including video production, audio narration, multimedia development, and graphic design using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

The base pay range for this position is $36.80, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
