Our client, a commercial bakery manufacturer, is looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a high-performing bakery production team. In this role, you won’t just fix equipment—you’ll be a critical part of keeping operations running safely, efficiently, and without interruption. Job Description:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed bakery production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues with a focus on minimizing downtime
- Execute and improve preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reliability
- Respond to breakdowns with urgency and precision to keep production on track
- Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activity with accuracy
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all plant standards and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and reduce recurring issues
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance (food manufacturing strongly preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills—you know how to find the root cause, not just the symptom
- Working knowledge of systems such as:
- PLCs
- Electrical controls
- HVAC or refrigeration
- Boilers
- Welding/fabrication
(any of these is a plus—not all required)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of your work
- Comfortable in a physical role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, reaching)
