Job Description
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping production running smoothly by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing bakery equipment. This position ensures machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting a fast-paced food production environment. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, address mechanical and electrical issues, and help drive continuous improvement across the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on bakery production equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and systems issues
- Follow a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, repairs, and parts used
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, or systems maintenance (food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC/refrigeration, welding, boilers, or electrical systems a plus (not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
