Job Description:
We are seeking a senior-level HR Business Partner / Director to support leaders within a large, complex, multi-site healthcare environment. This contractor role serves as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership, providing strategic guidance across organizational effectiveness, change management, leadership development, talent strategy, and culture transformation.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience partnering with executives, leading people leaders, and driving enterprise-level HR initiatives. This role requires strong business acumen, advanced communication skills, and the ability to influence at all levels while navigating a highly regulated, fast-paced organization. On-site presence in Houston is required.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor and trusted partner to senior and executive leadership
- Provide guidance on organizational effectiveness, culture, and change management initiatives
- Partner with leaders on talent management, succession planning, engagement, and retention strategies
- Support leadership development and executive coaching efforts
- Advise on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals
- Lead and support people managers, building team effectiveness and leadership capability
- Apply strong business acumen to assess organizational needs and recommend solutions
- Manage and support HR-related projects, including planning, milestone tracking, and execution
- Facilitate discussions, presentations, and working sessions with leaders and teams
- Navigate complex organizational dynamics, conflict resolution, and change processes effectively
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive HR business partnering or client-facing HR experience in a complex organization
- 5+ years of people management and team leadership experience
- Strong expertise in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and succession planning
- Proven experience supporting executive and senior leaders, including coaching and advisory work
- Demonstrated success leading change management and organizational transformation initiatives
- Excellent leadership, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Solid project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation and group facilitation abilities
- High level of business acumen with strategic and systems-thinking mindset
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
