Job Summary
The role involves assembling engine components and high-performance engine systems while ensuring all work meets or exceeds quality standards. It requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and familiarity with internal combustion engine parts, applications, and modification processes. The position also includes maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect returned engines and components for condition, damage, and reusability
- Clean and wash raw materials and maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Assemble engine components and high-performance engine systems while ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry quality standards.
- Interpret and follow mechanical instructions, diagrams, and procedures to accurately build and modify internal combustion engine parts.
- Apply proper part applications and modification processes while utilizing personal tools and mechanical expertise.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Entry-level to moderate automotive or mechanical experience
- Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely
- Eagerness to learn reconditioning, repair, and assembly procedures
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Proven experience in engine assembly with strong mechanical abilities and possession of necessary personal tools.
- Able to lift and maneuver engine parts and equipment as required
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
