General Production Associate I 1st Shift I $15.00 h/r I Charlotte, NC
Our client, a global leader in packaging, is seeking General Production Associates to join their great and growing team in Charlotte, NC
Duties include:
- An all-encompassing position operating assigned machinery and/or equipment operation and/or the physical loading/unloading of materials in a safe and productive manner in accordance with Operational Standard Work and supervisor instructions.
- Operate equipment associated with producing units and/or operate material handling equipment as assigned.
- Follows all applicable safety policies and practices, including but not limited to, use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring machine guards and safety features are working, and promoting good safety practices
- May load and unload raw good and/or finished products.
- Visual inspection of product to ensure quality.
- Responsible for housekeeping and general maintenance functions within work area.
- Adhere to work locations rules and procedures
- Perform operations assignment as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements include:
- Ability to lift 50lbs consistently
- Entry level with little or no prior manufacturing production experience required.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as requested
- Occasional climbing / balancing
- Requires continuous standing and frequent lifting / carrying / stooping / bending / squatting / pulling / pushing / twisting of the trunk and neck / reaching / grasping & squeezing
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Long pants and steel/composite toe boots required.
