Job Description
As a Gear Hobber Machinist, you will be setting up and operating gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating and broach machines safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating, and broach machines
- Work from blueprints and use measuring devices, including tape measure, caliper,s and micrometers
- Ability to run multiple machines at once
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2+ years of setting up and operating Gear Hobber, Broach, Key Seating, and/or Gear Shaping machining experience is needed
- Ability to inspect own parts
- Ability to read a ruler, micrometer, and caliper
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and know shop math
- Attendance and dependability are crucial
