Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Length CNC Machinist to support manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently producing high-quality, error-free threaded pipe and machined components. This role involves operating CNC lathes, setting up tooling, performing inspections, maintaining traceability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates may range from entry-level to experienced, with responsibilities assigned based on skill level and progression.
Responsibilities
• Perform all duties in a safe and collaborative manner; follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate CNC lathe machines to produce threaded pipe and machined components with minimal scrap.
• Set up CNC machine tooling, jaws, and work coordinate systems (level of supervision based on experience).
• Understand and apply tooling geometry, carbide grades, and threading requirements for basic, semi-premium, and premium threads.
• Perform CNC offsets for threads, seals, and machining operations.
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and job travelers.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using applicable inspection and measuring equipment.
• Learn and apply thread gauging techniques, including premium thread gauging (as assigned).
• Maintain full traceability of product throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform basic G-code program edits and demonstrate understanding of CNC programming concepts (as applicable).
• Complete required documentation and report non-conformances to the leadman or supervisor.
• Meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality standards.
• Perform weekly machine preventive maintenance and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Assist with training or mentoring less experienced operators as skills progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School education required (must be able to read and write).
• Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience or training in CNC lathe operation, pipe threading, and machining processes.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of tooling geometry, carbide grades, and threading applications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement instruments.
• Basic understanding of G-code programming preferred.
• Ability to follow written instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening (and drug screening if required).
• Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience or training in CNC lathe operation, pipe threading, and machining processes.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of tooling geometry, carbide grades, and threading applications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement instruments.
