Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely locating, moving, stacking, and tracking products within a warehouse environment. This role supports inbound and outbound operations, ensures production schedules are met, and maintains compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload materials from trailers as part of a team
- Accurately pick, pack, check, and load products from designated storage areas
- Stack loads in correct storage bays following inventory control procedures
- Complete required forms and handle shipping/receiving documentation
- Inspect machinery and perform routine safety checks and maintenance
- Maintain accurate production records and report safety or quality concerns immediately
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Assist with process improvement and support additional warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of related forklift experience
- OSHA forklift certification or operating experience preferred
- RF scanner experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take direction from multiple supervisors and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Must meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception

The base pay range for this position is $17.50/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
