Forklift Operator I 1st Shift I $19.00 h/r I Richmond, VA

Overview:
This position is responsible for transporting incoming freight from staging areas to designated inventory locations within the warehouse while maintaining safety, GMP, and quality standards. The role includes replenishing pick slots, rotating date-sensitive inventory, and supporting efficient production flow. This team-oriented position requires operating material handling equipment and performing inventory transactions using RF devices. Additional duties may be assigned to support operational needs.
Duties include:
- Transport, inspect, and store incoming freight using forklifts, hi-lifts, and power jacks
- Replenish pick slots, rotate inventory, and remove outdated or overstocked items per company policy
- Perform safety checks, temperature and quality inspections, and RF data entry
- Maintain housekeeping standards and properly dispose of pallets, packaging, and waste materials
- Secure equipment, complete inspections, and finalize paperwork at the end of each shift
Requirements include:
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to bend, twist, stand, sit, and lift throughout the shift
- 2+ years prior forklift experience in a warehouse environment
