Job Description
Company in east Houston is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support the day-to-day duties. The operator will manage all forklifts used on-site, including large forklifts moving heavy products and equipment. This role is critical to safe and efficient yard operations, material handling, and support of manufacturing activities. The position involves operating yard forklifts designed to transport & haul large – diameter and/or long – length pipe.

Responsibilities
- Obtain forklift certification and maintain compliance
- Transport full-length pipe and other materials within the yard, including loading/unloading trucks and moving products indoors and outdoors
- Perform required preventative maintenance on forklifts
- Maintain pipe storage racks and material organization
- Support manufacturing operations by moving product to required locations
- Assist with rig prep and return operations as required
- Respond to on-call assignments
- Follow safety program requirements and company safety protocols
- Complete other duties as assigned
Tools, Equipment, and Machines
- Operate forklifts of various sizes
- Use applicable inspection and test equipment as designated by company work instructions
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent trade school experience
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience; 3–5 years preferred for Category IV or higher operations
- Ability to perform job duties effectively within 90 days of hire
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, quality standards, and material handling procedures
- Reliable transportation and stable work history

- Company safety training
- Required reading list for management system familiarization
- Company quality indoctrination
- Formal training on work instructions and industry standards per training matrix
